Old book
Patrick T. Reardon

One-Cent found an
old book covered,
like snow, with dust.
Inside, fields of color.
The sparrow’s courting
dance, the hog settling in.
No traffic at dawn down
Devon to the airport. To
mark his place, he used
an angry Queen of Clubs.
